A ewe lamb full of breeding from Graham Foster’s Nowtownstewart-based Springhill flock stood out at the Dungannon export sale topping at 4800gns. Springhill 25WLK08351 is sired by Springhill Crackerjack, a son of Boyo Bravemansgame and out of their Oakchurch bred Cavick What A Boy daughter. She was part of the first prize pair of ewe lambs at the NI National Championships earlier in the year and after competitive bidding this one found its new home with Messrs Wilson and Gallagher, County Donegal.

Another ewe lamb from the Springhill flock followed close behind at 4400gns. This was in the form of Springhill 25WLK08367. This one is another daughter of Springhill Crackerjack and this time out of a homebred Boyo Walk this way daughter. Another successful show ewe lamb having won first prize at Omagh show, she now resides with J P Graham and son, Cumbria.

At 3000gns was Ballyhunsley 25XSR01893, this one from Messrs J and D Anderson Bushmills, County Antrim, is by Springhill Bobby Dazzler and out of a Springhill bred Springhill Vodka daughter. She’s a full sister to the 2025 Dungannon Premier female champion and was bought by G Foster for his Springhill flock having faith in her breeding.

Topping the shearling ewe section was Beechview 24PQ00579 from Messrs G and J Booth, Stewartstown, County Tyrone. She is sired by Beechview Boom and out of the homebred Hollylodge Titan daughter. Scanned with twins to Tullyear Amazon she commanded a price tag of 2800gns selling to N Flanagan, Keady, County Armagh.

Back in the Springhill pen of ewe lambs saw Springhill 25WLK08365 reach 2800gns selling to H Keys, Fivemiletown, County Tyrone. This one is sired by Springhill Aston Martin, a Gwyndy Whizz Kid son and out of an Edstaston bred Knockin Shockin’ daughter.

At 2600gns was another Springhill ewe lamb in the form of Springhill 25WLK08436, this one is sired by a Bolinaspect Captain Morgan which was top priced ram lamb at Blessington last year and out of a homebred Boyo Bravemansgame daughter. She heads to Wales with H Turner, Newtown, Powys.

Back in the in-lamb shearling section saw G Baird’s Amagh-based Aghavilly flock command a 2200gns price tag for Aghavilly 24VAB02319. This one is sired by Aghavilly Belvedere, a Rhaeadr Orlando son and out of a homebred Loanhead Virgil Van Dijk daughter. Scanned a single to Iskeymeadow Courthouse, she was snapped up by A Killion, Lecarrow, County Roscommon.

Another from the Aghavilly pen saw the hammer fall at 2000gns for Aghavilly 24VAB02299 carrying twins to Iskeymeadow Courthouse, selling to A Crothers, Newtownabbey, County Antrim. This ewe is sired by Loanhead Virgil Van Dijk and out of a Logie Durno bred Foxhill Va Va Voom daughter, with the dam having been crowned NI champion Charollais show ewe for 2024.

Also at 2000gns was Artnagullion 24ZGQ06222 from W McAllister, Kells, Ballymena. Sired by Artnagullion Bushwacker and out of a homebred Knockin Shop daughter, she was sold scanned carrying twins to Artnagullion Bandit to the previously mentioned H Keys.
