County Shows 2011

Interbreed winners from the County Shows 2011.

Newark

Charles Sercombe started off the season with a double interbreed victory at Newark Show.  His two-year old ewe, owned by the Micklehills flock was sired by Rockvilla Father Ted out of Rutland Lightening, who was interbreed champion at Leicester County Show.  She took the individual interbreed title and then teamed up with Dalby Kracked-it and a shearling ewe to win the interbreed group of three. 

Royal Bath & West Show

Royal Cornwall

Left - Breed Champion from W. Quick & Sons, two shear ram which went on to take the Reserve Interbreed title.  Right - Interbreed Ram lamb from Clive and Robert Hopper's Cove flock.

East of England

Left - Interbreed Champion, two-shear ewe from the Dalby Flock of Charles Sercombe.  Right - Interbreed Group of Three all from the Dalby Flock.

Charollais won the Interbreed Group of 4, again all from the Dalby flock with the whole family (left to right) Grace, Helen, William, Charles and Victoria parading the winners.

Armagh, Northern Ireland

The breed had a great day at Armagh, taking all three of the Interbreed classes.  Diane Christie's shearling ewe took the individual title, a group of three from the Carnew flock of Jonathan Aiken and they also won the pairs class.

Devon County

Amelia and Amy Pedrick from the Churchill Flock in Devon with the Breed Champion at the Devon County Show.

Lincoln County

Charles Sercombe's two-shear ewe took yet another interbreed title at the Lincoln Show.  She is out of Rutland Lightening by Rockvilla Father Ted.

Royal Norfolk

 

Geoff Watson and Carol Grain's shearling ewe, Sulwood Kinky Kitten was the choice of interbreed judge, Malcolm Stewart at the Royal Norfolk Show.  Geoff and Carol went on to take the group of three interbreed title, which was a repeat of their success at the Lincoln Show. 

 Burwarton Show

The Elmwick Flock of Jennifer and Geoff Curtis from near Evesham took both the individual and group interbreed titles at the Burwarton Show. 

Frome County Show

The Churchill Flock of Amy and Amelia Pedrick had double success at Frome Show.  Their shearling ewe Churchill Klass Act was the choice of BBC's Adam Henson.  They also took the Interbreed Group with Klass Act, Churchill Kay and their ram lamb Churchill Lettuce.
