Health Issues
The Charollais breed encourages all its members to keep the health status of their flock as high as possible. All our official sales are for maedi visna accredited sheep only. We have been at the forefront of the programme to eradicate scrapie from the national flock. Currently we are encouraging all our breeders to vaccinate their stock against bluetongue virus, as soon as possible. At our sales we inspect for all contagious and infectious diseases and disbar from sale any animal/s which may carry risk.
