Good trade at Saucy Sale for in-lamb ewes
Two female sales at the weekend saw excellent results for the breed, underlining the popularity and success of the Charollais.
Saucy Sale – Worcester Saturday 5th October
Topping the sale at 2,550 gns was a shearling ewe from Adrian Davies’s Glyncoch Flock. This strong ET ewe was carry twins to Wrenvale Mad 4 Ewe. Buyer for this one was the Honey Farm Partnership from Somershaw, Cambridgeshire. The Glyncoch flock also sold to 2,000 gns, for a daughter of Penrhos Ibanez which was placed 3rd prize ewe lamb at the Royal Welsh Show in 2012. Taking this ewe back to the Vale of Glamorgan was Justin Evans.
Topping the ewe lamb trade at 900 gns was Edstaston Nula from Robert Gregory’s flock in Shropshire. This Glyn Coch Main Man lamb was knocked down to Jonathan Keys from Northern Ireland.
